At just 24 years old, Ludvig Åberg has made the most of his short time as a professional golfer. The Eslöv, Sweden, native was runner-up at the 2024 Masters and has earned seven top-10 finishes on the PGA TOUR, including one victory at the RSM Classic, since turning pro in June 2023. He also was a member of the 2023 Ryder Cup Team Europe victory.

The Bay Golf Club is a founding team in TGL presented by SoFi, a league founded by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and TMRW Sports. TGL is an innovative golf league in partnership with the PGA TOUR fusing advanced tech and live action in prime time. Season 1 begins January 7th, 2025.

The Bay Golf Club draws inspiration from the Bay Area, one of the winningest markets in professional sports and home to some of the best golf courses in the world. Rooted in youth culture and championship swagger, The Bay Golf Club is bringing a new energy to golf culture with majority owner Marc Lasry’s Avenue Sports Fund. The Bay Golf Club represents the growing Golf community who, like investors Stephen Curry, and additional investors Andre Iguodala and Klay Thompson, find joy in Golf and want to share it with others.

About TGL

TGL presented by SoFi is an innovative golf league in partnership with the PGA TOUR fusing advanced tech and live action in prime time.

The season will include a total of 24 players with four players assigned to each of the six teams. Each TGL match will feature three players competing for each team in a modern match-play format in a two-hour team golf competition, offering a fresh approach to the sport with a focus on technology, innovation, and fan engagement.

A purpose-built venue called SoFi Center at Palm Beach State College will combine a data-rich virtual course with a first-of-its-kind short game complex creating a unique experience for the fans in the stands and watching around the world.

All six TGL teams have been announced. Los Angeles Golf Club, owned by Alexis Ohanian, Serena Williams and Venus Williams, was first out the gate and is ready to tee it up.

Atlanta Drive GC, owned by Arthur M. Blank, Boston Common Golf owned by Fenway Sports Group, New York Golf Club owned by Steven Cohen, a San Francisco team owned by Marc Lasry's Avenue Sports Fund and Stephen Curry, and Jupiter Links Golf Club owned by TGR Ventures and David Blitzer have also been confirmed as original six clubs.

The inaugural season tees off on January 7, live in prime time on ESPN and ESPN+.
